Ravenna & Giveaways

The Mausoleum of Galla Placidia is a Roman building in Ravenna, Italy. Experts describe it as “the earliest and best preserved of all mosaic monuments, and at the same time one of the most artistically perfect”. In particular the 5th century ceiling mosaic – Garden of Eden

Is that not just mind blowing craftsmanship, and over 1500 year old! and the inspiration behind the Ravenna set.

Now before we get into the details of the pattern (release date June 27th) there are a couples of thing you should know.

The Yarn
Eco Fusion by Nurturing Fibers is fabulous; a mix of 50/50 cotton and bamboo that adds that special touch to any project. The strands of cotton are sturdy and matte and the bamboo strands are shiny and sleek. The best of both worlds!

Ravenna Pattern Packs of Eco Fusion will be available at Goodloops Yarn (June 18th) and will include a full color printed copy of the Ravenna Cushion pattern. Yes you get the pattern before it goes live!

The Pattern
Ravenna Cushion is a 16″ round cushion with identical front and back.
Full color photo tutorial with easy to read written instructions.
You will need a 16″ round cushion insert and if you plan on doing the bonus pattern, Ravenna mandala wall hanging you will need a 12″ macrame hoop and a 6″ macrame hoop. Oh and of course 3.5mm hook
