Written instructions to make your Havana test swatch. Use the recommend hook for the yarn you have chose. This is a test swatch to give you a approximation on how big your Havana will be without border. This is just a simple pattern and is not apart of the Havana pattern itself.
1. Chain 15. sc in 2nd chain from hook, sc in each chain to end, Cut yarn. = 14 sc
The 1st and 14th stitches are you border stitches.
2. With new color, sc in 1st stitch, blsc in next 12 stitches, sc in last st, cut yarn
3. With new color sc in 1st stitch, blsc in next 12 stitches, sc in last st, cut yarn
4 .With new color sc in 1st stitch, blsc in the next 11 stitches, dc in the corresponding front from 2 row below (skip st behind dc). sc in last st, cut yarn
5. With new color sc in 1st stitch, blsc in the next 10 stitches, dc in the corresponding front from 2 row below (skip st behind dc)., blsc in the next stitch, sc in last st, cut yarn
6. With new color sc in 1st stitch, blsc in the next 9 stitches, dc in the corresponding front from 2 row below (skip st behind dc)., blsc in the next 2 stitches, sc in last st, cut yarn
7. With new color sc in 1st stitch, blsc in the next 8 stitches, dc in the corresponding front from 2 row below (skip st behind dc)., blsc in the next 3 stitches, sc in last st, cut yarn
8. With new color sc in 1st stitch, blsc in the next 7 stitches, dc in the corresponding front from 2 row below (skip st behind dc)., blsc in the next 4 stitches, sc in last st, cut yarn
9. With new color sc in 1st stitch, blsc in the next 6 stitches, dc in the corresponding front from 2 row below (skip st behind dc)., blsc in the next 5 stitches, sc in last st, cut yarn
10. With new color sc in 1st stitch, blsc in the next 5 stitches, dc in the corresponding front from 2 row below (skip st behind dc)., blsc in the next 6 stitches, sc in last st, cut yarn
11. With new color sc in 1st stitch, blsc in the next 4 stitches, dc in the corresponding front from 2 row below (skip st behind dc)., blsc in the next 7 stitches, sc in last st, cut yarn
12. With new color sc in 1st stitch, blsc in the next 3 stitches, dc in the corresponding front from 2 row below (skip st behind dc)., blsc in the next 8 stitches, sc in last st, cut yarn
13.With new color sc in 1st stitch, blsc in the next 2 stitches, dc in the corresponding front from 2 row below (skip st behind dc)., blsc in the next 9 stitches, sc in last st, cut yarn
14. With new color sc in 1st stitch, blsc in next 12 stitches, sc in last st, cut yarn
Measure the width from stitch 2 to 13 (do not include the 1st and last border st)
Measure the length from row 2 to 13 (do not include the foundation row or the last row)
