New Year.. New Project

I love my support team! 9 wonderful ladies from all around the world, we have never met face to face but these ladies have been a consent in my life through the good, the bad, the ugly and the wonderful. We start each day with a Good Morning and end each day with a Good Night and in the in between we get into all sorts of mischief. They are the biggest enablers when it comes to patterns and yarn, they are quick to send virtual hugs when needed and always there to listen. I love you Pippinettes!

So to kick off 2022, Darlene set us a challenge! Sophie Loves Lillia Winter Blanket by Emma Aldous.

Emma Aldous very cleverly put together beauty pieces from Lilla Bjorn and Dedri Uys to create a super stunning blanket full of texture, color and intricate stitches.

She explains how she did it and what patterns she used here: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/sophie-loves-lilla-bjorn-winter-blanket

So this is it, our New Year challenge!

The colors i have chose were inspired by one of my mood boards.

I was drawn to theses colors as they represent my mood of late. Nothing is ever Black and White just a mixture of Grays but if you focus on that bright light peeking through, you can draw strength from it and keep on knowing better days are coming.

As we make our way navigating the gorgeous patterns Emma Aldous lays out in her Sophie Loves Lilla Bjorn Winter Blanket, the team and I will be sharing our updates, thoughts and tips in the Pippin Crochet Club on Facebook.
