The Queen of the Seas Shawl is the second pattern in my Queen Shawl collection.
I wanted something big, something to wrap around in on those warm summer nights while sitting on the beach watching the sunset.
Yarn:
10 x Stylecraft Classique Cotton 4ply (50g balls/182m)
I used Lapis. If you want to be creative and use more than one color, you can plan your colorway using the shawl diagram at the end of the pattern. I got 8 motifs from each ball and I had a few yards left, which I saved for the fringe.
Hook: 3.25mm
Motif Measurements: Base Square 7” x 7” (17cm x 17cm)
Shawl Size: 38″ down spine, 70″ across the top
Alternative Yarn:
8 x Stylecraft New Naturals Cotton/Bamboo DK (100g balls/250m)
Hayley used Rose (pictured below)
Hook: 3.5mm
Motif Measurements: Base Square 8” x 8” (20cm x 20cm)
Shawl Size: 40″ down spine, 80″ across the top
