Lesson Two- Single Crochet (sc)
You will need to start with your foundation chain. Single crochets will be worked into to the chain. In written patterns its is abbreviated to (sc).
Chain 26
You will make you 1st sc into the 2nd loop from your hook.(Pic 1)
Row One
Insert your hook into the next chain. (Pic 1)_
Yarn over, Catch the yarn at the end of your hook and pull through the chain. (Pic 2)
Yarn over again and pull through the 2 loops on your hook. (Pic 3)
You just made your 1st single crochet (sc)
Repeat in next chain until you reach the end. (Pic 4)
You should have 25 single crochets (Pic 5)
Row 2
Chain 1, and turn your work (you will be working right to left)
Insert hook into the 1st single crochet. (Pic 7)
Yarn over, Catch the yarn at the end of your hook and pull through the stitch.
Yarn over again and pull through 2 loops on your hook (Pic 7)
Repeat until you reach the end. You should have 25 single crochets
