As a mom to a one year toddler my day is full of picking up, tiding away and chasing my toddler around. I look forward to nap time; an hour or so of peace and quiet!
When Tessa is fast asleep I enjoy nothing more than relaxing with my hooks and yarn, a good pattern to get stuck into. So for my New years project I decided to take on Helen Shrimptons – Mandala Madness. I have never done any of Helen’s patterns and I will be starting of the new year with a “new to me” designer.

Having never tried any off Helen’s patterns I downloaded the 1st part and took a look. The first thing I noticed was how clear the instructions were, maybe just maybe I won’t have to use the video tutorials but it is reassuring to know they are there.
Having a little girl I am surrounded by pink pink pink! but this time I have decided to go with a range of bright rainbow colors. Still girly but not pink!
I went with my favorite trusted yarn – Stylecraft Special DK in White, Aspen, Sherbet, Pistachio, Lemon, Spic,e Metador, Candy Floss and Wisteria
Enjoy making this mandala. Looks like an exciting challenge
