Sometime as a beginner you can be intimidated by all the glorious projects you see on many of the social media outlets like Pinterest, Facebook and Ravelry. It can be quite daunting and sometime off putting.
But never fear a challenge, there are patterns out there just for you. When I first started to crochet, I learned the basic steps, sc, dc, tr etc…. But I needed something more.. a project.. a big project that would challenge me but not intimidate me..
I found this project purely by chance and it was perfect. So if your a beginner and ready for the next step I highly recommend this pattern.
Checkerboard Textured Throw by Red Heart. Designer Katherine Eng. This an excellent throw for those who like to learn new stitch patterns with wonderful textures. Each of the 10 squares is a new adventure! A granny square is placed between each of the textured squares in a checkerboard arrangement.
