2018 has seen some happy times and some sad times, looking after my grandchildren has brought joy to my world even if they run rings around me. 2018 also saw me nurse my beloved father as he battled with Dementia, saying our final goodbye was the hardest thing I have ever had to do.
2019 will be all about healing and fresh starts. I like to travel; we travelled to Spain several times this year and on my last visit, Luc and I made the decision to make a big life change and move from Belgium to Spain. Therefore, while everyone is frantic getting ready for Christmas, I am frantic preparing for the move.
For my New Year’s project, I am finally going to start my Sophie’s Universe. I have wanted to do it for 2 years but something always got in the way. I love the details in the stitches and it will be a welcome distraction, Crochet is my therapy and Sophie’s Universe will help me heal.
The colors I have chosen are based on the original Scheepjes stone washed colorway. I am using cotton, no surprise there, A mixture of Catona and Mr. Cey cotton in coffee, cream, silver green, sea foam, sage, olive, aurora, cream, apricot, autumn rose and tangerine.
